Guide value for your Friday and Saturday in early November: about $170 to $260 per room per night (as of June 2026), which for two rooms across two nights lands around $680 to $1,040 for the group before tax. The hotel's own published starting rates dip to about $85 in dead-quiet season, so treat anything near that as a pleasant surprise rather than a plan.

Best alternative: The Envoy Hotel, Seaport, 70 Sleeper Street. You trade the shopping-on-your-doorstep advantage for waterfront cool and a legendary rooftop bar in your own building, which on a November night with heaters and igloos is a genuinely charming way to end an evening. It is the pricier of the two on a typical weekend, so it is the choice if the group wants the Seaport vibe more than the extra $100 each. • Flying in: take the Silver Line SL1 from your terminal's curbside stop (it serves Terminals A, B, C and E). Inbound from Logan the ride is free, no fare collected at the airport stops, and the buses have luggage racks. Ride to South Station, then Red Line to Park Street and Green Line to Hynes Convention Center, $2.40 with contactless or a CharlieCard, tapped at the fare gates. 💡 Tip: for a party of five with no reservations, send two people to put the name in around 4:45 PM to 5:00 PM while the other three browse Hanover Street, and eat early. Waits of an hour or more at 7:30 PM on a Saturday are the norm here, not bad luck. If the wait is brutal, the raw bar seats turn faster than tables.

• Cheap-pub alternative two minutes away: Sweeney's on Boylston, 710 Boylston Street, the Irish pub run by the same hospitality family as The Irving, where pints and pub pours replace $20 cocktails. Check the opening hours and the current drink list on site before you walk over, their menu prices are not published online.

Plan B (rain or cold-feet day): swap the Freedom Trail walk for the indoor route, Boston Public Library to the Prudential and Copley Place skywalk network to View Boston, all under cover, then take the Green Line and Red Line instead of walking to the North End. The evening plan is entirely indoors already.

Sunday, November 8, 2026: brunch, one last stroll, home

Morning: a slow walk through the Public Garden and along Commonwealth Avenue Mall, free, and about as pretty as November gets.

Brunch: if the group wants one more seafood hit before scattering, Neptune Oyster opens at 11:00 AM and Sunday's special is lobster tacos, and the line at opening is far kinder than Saturday night. Otherwise, keep it casual near the hotel and save the money for the trip home.
