The nap happens in a quiet room with a kitchenette (two-burner range, fridge, microwave, pots and dishes), and the "outing" part of the afternoon happens 40 steps away at the indoor heated pool and whirlpool, which run 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily, alongside a game room, sports courts, picnic tables, charcoal grills and a fire pit spread over 10 acres of wooded, parklike grounds. Nobody has to get back in the car after nap time, which is where these days usually fall apart. The lodge sits on Hwy 42 between Fish Creek and Ephraim, so both of your morning targets are inside 10 minutes. Guests rate it 8.5/10 on Booking.com. Budget honesty: your $900 works if the lodging lands at the lower end of the guide range (roughly $150 a night) and you eat two of the four main meals from the kitchenette. If the lodging comes back at $220 a night, you are looking at roughly $1,050 and something has to give. The cheapest clean cut, in order: swap Tuesday's restaurant dinner for a grocery cookout on the picnic tables (there are charcoal grills by each building, and the lodge sells no charcoal, so grab a bag at the gas station a quarter mile south) which saves about $50, buy two daily park passes instead of the annual (saves $18), and drop Thursday's cafe lunch for a packed picnic on the drive (saves about $50). Do all three and you land near $860. What we would not cut is the fish boil, because it is the one thing on this list you cannot do anywhere else.
Cheaper-alternative comparison, transport: you are driving your own car, and Door County has no useful public transit, so there is no bus-versus-taxi decision to make here.
